Family Leadership Team

The Ron Russell Family Leadership Team began in Spring of 2017.

Why we have one:  We empower and connect families with each other and school staff to support students and their families.

Who is on the team:  All families with a current or incoming RR student, SUN Site Manager, Principal.  You’re invited!

What we do:  We gather information to see what parents want to know, determine how we can support that need, and provide the support.

When we meet:  Thursdays @ 4:00-5:30PM

What we have accomplished so far:

  • Created a video tutorial for ParentVUE in Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, and English
  • Helped parents activate and navigate ParentVUE accounts at Back to School Night and Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Provided 104 Ron Russell Families with winter coats from Columbia Sportswear at Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Provide information to support families during school-wide events
